The artist

Alain Lefèvre is a Montreal pianist and composer whose international career began after studies at the Conservatoire de Paris. Born in Poitiers and raised in Quebec from childhood, he has performed in more than forty countries and built a wide-ranging recorded catalogue of solo, chamber, and orchestral repertoire. He has been a prominent advocate for Quebec composer André Mathieu, returning that music to concert halls and recordings. Warner Classics signed Lefèvre as an exclusive recording artist in 2018. His recent releases include Paris Memories and Consolation, an album of eleven original piano works released in September 2025. His honours include a JUNO Award, an Opus Award, ten Félix awards, appointment as an Officer of the Order of Canada, and investiture as a Knight of the National Order of Quebec.
