About
The artist
Alphabet War is an experimental electronic and ambient recording project emerging from Victoria, British Columbia. Associated with the Western Canadian netlabel collective Kitimat City Council Record Co., the project combines shimmering synthesizer arpeggios, degraded analog textures, and slow-evolving melodic drifts that intersect ambient music, vaporwave, and minimalism. Following early 2025 releases such as Jacobs Hallway, I Could Live Here, and Floating on Air, Alphabet War expanded its catalog in 2026 with atmospheric singles Greenland and Railgrinder. Characterized by a shadowy anonymity and immersive tape-saturated aesthetics, Alphabet War remains a compelling contributor to the Canadian West Coast underground electronic scene.
