About

The artist

Andrea Ramolo is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter, filmmaker, actor, host, and educator who has recorded and toured since 2008. Her work sits between folk, roots, Americana, and cinematic pop, led by an expressive voice and songs that move through grief, desire, resilience, and belonging. Ramolo was one half of the folk-pop duo Scarlett Jane before continuing a prolific solo catalog. NUDA and its companion DA SOLA were produced by Michael Timmins, as was Homage, her interpretation of songs by Leonard Cohen. Homage earned a 2020 Canadian Folk Music Award nomination for Contemporary Singer of the Year. Quarantine Dream followed as her seventh studio recording, produced by Sarah MacDougall. Her collaboration with southern Italian electro-folk group Kalàscima produced The South, connecting contemporary songwriting with music from her ancestral region. Ramolo also directs documentary work and serves as artistic director of Toronto's Our Music Festival. Her official site and Bandcamp catalog show continued activity through the 2026 single Castle on the Street, written and recorded with R Grunwald. Exact official, Spotify, Apple Music, and Bandcamp profiles confirm the intended artist.
