About
The artist
Anesti Danelis is a Toronto-based musical comedian, writer, and recording artist whose songs pair guitar and piano with observational stand-up. He began presenting solo work at the Toronto Fringe Festival with Songs for the New World Order in 2017, then toured Canadian and international fringe stages. Six Frets Under followed in 2019, the same year his musical resignation from a café job became a widely shared video. During the pandemic, short songs about isolation, work, and everyday absurdity grew into the 2020 album Quarantine Bops. Danelis has continued to write compact comedy singles, including I'm so Tired, Should Have Bought Myself a Home When I Was a Fetus, and Millennials Living Through Another Disaster. His stage show Artificially Intelligent uses original songs to examine contemporary dependence on technology and artificial intelligence. Its 2024 Toronto run won The Second City's Best Comedy Award and the Toronto Fringe Patron's Pick before touring to Edinburgh and London. His official site lists a current Toronto base, management, and 2026 tour dates; exact Spotify and public identity records confirm the intended artist and continuing Canadian activity.
