About

The artist

Angine de Poitrine is an anonymous experimental rock duo based in Saguenay, Quebec. The project presents its two performers as Khn de Poitrine, who moves between microtonal guitar, bass, loops, synthesizers, and vocals, and Klek de Poitrine, who handles drums, percussion, and vocals. Their tightly patterned music combines asymmetrical rhythms, chromatic quarter-tone phrases, repetition, sudden silence, and a theatrical black-and-white visual language. Formed in Saguenay in 2019, the duo released Vol. 1 in 2024 and followed it with Vol. II in April 2026. A live KEXP session recorded in France accelerated international attention, while sold-out dates and an extensive 2026 schedule carried the project across Canada, the United States, Europe, Japan, and Australia. Vol. II reached the Canadian Albums chart and the Billboard 200 after its physical release, and Billboard Canada presented the duo with its 2026 Global Breakthrough Award. Spectacles Bonzaï manager Sébastien Collin represents the project, with booking partners listed for several territories and Third Side Music handling publishing. The official site states that Angine de Poitrine is an anonymous art project and asks the public not to speculate about the members' identities; this profile preserves that boundary and documents only the public stage personas.
