About
The artist
ANYMA ORA' is a Wendat singer-songwriter, dancer, and circus artist from Wendake, Quebec. Her electro-pop work brings electronic rhythms and contemporary production together with traditional percussion, movement, and themes drawn from Wendat culture. Her stage name uses Ora', a Wendat word connected to air and breath, as an image for music that carries healing, reflection, and human connection. The 2021 debut EP Humans includes songs exploring identity, nature, spirituality, resilience, and love, and reached number one on Indigenous music charts. That year she was also a finalist for the SOCAN Foundation Indigenous Songwriter Award. In 2025, ANYMA ORA' received three Gala RIDEAU honours: the Stingray Rising Stars jury prize, the ROSEQ award, and the LOJIQ award. She toured extensively across Quebec in 2025 and 2026 with a five-musician immersive production and continued developing new recordings for a follow-up project.
