About
The artist
ASKO is an Edmonton-based electronic project led by nêhiyaw and Scottish-Irish artist and drummer Marek Tyler. Built as a gathering place for collaborators, advisors, dancers, drum, rattle, and electronic sound, the project follows movements and rhythms connected to nêhiyaw life and prairie landscapes. ASKO's self-titled 2024 album was released by Dine Alone Records. The project won Electronic & Dance Artist of the Year at the 2025 Western Canadian Music Awards and continued with Canadian and international festival appearances into 2026.
