About

The artist

Ayria is the Toronto electronic project of singer, songwriter, and producer Jennifer Parkin. She started the project in 2003 after performing with Epsilon Minus and released the debut album Debris that year. Flicker followed in 2005, Hearts for Bullets in 2008, Plastic Makes Perfect in 2013, Paper Dolls in 2016, and This Is My Battle Cry in 2022. Across that catalog, Parkin combines industrial bass programming, synth-pop melody, club rhythm, and direct writing about control, conflict, resilience, and self-definition. Ayria has toured in Canada, the United States, and Europe, with a live presentation built around Parkin's vocal performance and high-energy electronic arrangements. The project returned to active release work with Burning Up in 2025, then Vicious World and Not My First Time in early 2026. The six-track Vicious World EP arrived in May 2026 through Artoffact Records as a bridge toward the next full-length Ayria album.
