The artist

Birds of Bellwoods is a Toronto indie project led by singer and songwriter Stevie Joffe. The name first became established through the acoustic folk arrangements and close vocal harmonies of The Fifth EP in 2015. The debut album Victoria arrived in 2018 and widened that foundation into melodic alternative rock, helping the project reach Spotify's Canada Viral 50 chart and remain on Canadian alternative radio for more than thirty weeks. Birds of Bellwoods toured across Canada, appeared at festivals including Osheaga and Festival d'été de Québec, and opened the 2019 Rock the Rink arena tour. Everything You Want followed in 2023, pairing large choruses and polished rock production with songs about vulnerability and self-acceptance. After the other founding members departed, Joffe retained the project name and began developing a more flexible, collaborator-driven version of Birds of Bellwoods. Miss You Yet in 2025 and Corolla in March 2026 introduced that chapter, with production contributions from Mickey Brandolino and Keegan Grabanier. The project remains signed to MNRK Music Group and currently identifies with Toronto. Its evolving catalog connects folk storytelling, pop structure, and alternative-rock scale while keeping Joffe's emotionally direct writing at the centre.
