About
The artist
Formed in Montreal, Quebec in 2012, Bleu Jeans Bleu is one of French Canada's most celebrated comedic pop-rock ensembles. Fronted by charismatic lead singer Mathieu Lafontaine (performing under the alter ego Claude Cobra), the band achieved legendary status in 2019 with their multi-Platinum earworm Coton ouaté, an ode to denim and cotton sweatshirts that crossed over into a pan-Canadian cultural phenomenon. Crowned Group of the Year at the 2019 Gala de l'ADISQ, Bleu Jeans Bleu blends impeccable musical chops, vintage funk-rock grooves, and irresistible good-natured humor, packing concert halls and outdoor festivals across Quebec.
