About

The artist

Raised on Tobago and now based in Langford, British Columbia, Caleb Hart built his career around energetic live performance and an Afro-Caribbean fusion he calls Island Soul. Across more than 1,200 shows on six continents, he has paired reggae, calypso, folk, soul, and hip-hop-inflected delivery with songs about unity, emancipation, resilience, and justice. Hart's solo catalog includes OrigiNation, the Track7 collaboration 11, Island Soul, and the 2024 album Emancipation, followed by a run of 2025 and 2026 singles while he developed Forward to D' Roots and the collaborative project Sonic Alley. Emancipation reached number one on CKUA in 2025. Its title song won the 2024 American Songwriter world category, while Riddim Man won the 2025 Intercontinental Music Awards reggae category. Hart was also nominated for Global Artist of the Year at the 2025 Western Canadian Music Awards and continues to tour across British Columbia and beyond.
