The artist
Formed in Toronto in 2004, Cancer Bats fuse hardcore punk, metalcore and sludge-heavy grooves into direct, high-energy songs. The group built its reputation through relentless touring, festival appearances and seven studio albums, with multiple JUNO nominations along the way. Its current lineup features Liam Cormier, Mike Peters, Jaye Schwarzer and Jackson Landry. The 2025 single Backstab the Rat Race led into the 2026 album Give Me Dirt, produced by Kurt Ballou. MusicList uses a rights-clean monogram rather than unlicensed photography.
