The artist
Celeigh Cardinal is a Cree-Métis singer-songwriter based in Edmonton. Working professionally since the early 2010s, she blends soul, folk, roots, funk, and rock around an expressive voice and personal storytelling. Her albums Everything and Nothing at All, Stories from a Downtown Apartment, and Boundless Possibilities trace an expanding body of work about identity, grief, independence, spirituality, and connection. Stories from a Downtown Apartment won the 2020 JUNO Award for Indigenous Artist or Group of the Year. The song Light of the Moon earned Songwriter of the Year at the 2024 Western Canadian Music Awards, while Boundless Possibilities received two 2025 JUNO nominations and later appeared in an expanded deluxe edition. Cardinal continues to perform across Canada in 2026.
