The artist

Chris LaRocca is a Toronto vocalist, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist raised in Woodbridge, Ontario. His early musical experience moved through post-hardcore, electronic indie, and math rock before he began releasing solo work in 2017. LaRocca developed a flexible production style across singles and EPs, earning attention for music that shifts between alternative R&B, pop, rock, and densely edited electronic arrangements. In 2023 he released the EPs perhaps! and smile because it happened, followed by the album i cried my eyes out through Wonderchild and Red Bull Records. The project established a more personal writing style while retaining the organized disorder that characterizes his production. He followed it with the eight-song dog years project in 2025 and continued releasing music in 2026 with dog eyed. Alongside his solo catalogue, LaRocca writes and produces for other artists, with credits connected to Bryson Tiller, Kali Uchis, Stray Kids, Russ, LU KALA, and Boslen. His co-writing received SOCAN Songwriting Prize finalist recognition for No Smoke in 2021 and Levels in 2023. Current official and label profiles identify him with Toronto, while 2026 concerts in Toronto and Hamilton confirm continuing professional activity in Ontario.
