About
The artist
Clea Anaïs is a Calgary songwriter, cellist, and vocalist known for expansive dream-pop arrangements and emotional candor. A core member of celebrated Canadian art-rock ensemble Woodpigeon, Anaïs developed a solo artistic vision marrying classical chamber strings, shimmering analog synths, and bittersweet vocal melodies. Their 2022 debut album Circle Zero, co-produced by Graham Lessard, garnered wide critical praise across Western Canada for its nuanced explorations of grief, personal rebirth, and queer vulnerability.
