About
The artist
Coco Belliveau is an Acadian rapper, songwriter, comedian, and multidisciplinary performer from New Brunswick who is now based in Montréal. Her music developed alongside a career in stand-up and improvisation, using direct writing, character work, and social observation across French, Acadian, and Chiac expression. Belliveau entered recorded music with the singles Bi$ou$ Bi$ou$, Ok Boomer, and Pas Cool in 2020, followed by Meilleure in 2021. The 2022 EP SUCCÈS SOUVENIRS '91 brought those ideas into a longer rap project produced with Kèthe Magané, while the collaboration Pogo with Pony extended her catalogue later that year. Belliveau has also participated in Quebec's WORDUP battle-rap circuit. Her broader performance career includes a finalist appearance on Le Prochain Stand-Up and a 2021 Gala Les Olivier nomination. Current official materials continue to present rap and battle-rap as part of her multidisciplinary practice, while her official tour calendar documents an active schedule through 2027. Artist-controlled Bandcamp metadata identifies Montréal, Quebec as her current location and describes her move from New Brunswick to Quebec.
