About
The artist
The Dakhká Khwáan Dancers are an Inland Tlingit dance group based in Whitehorse, Yukon. Formed in 2007 to reclaim and revitalize Southern Tlingit language, culture, and drumming traditions, the group brings together dancers and singers across generations. In addition to traditional potlatch and community performances, the ensemble collaborated with electronic producer DJ Dash on the innovative album Deconstruct, earning a Juno Award nomination for Indigenous Music Album of the Year and widespread national acclaim.
