Danko Jones is a Toronto hard-rock trio formed in 1996 by vocalist and guitarist Danko Jones and bassist John Calabrese. The group built its early reputation through live performances before releasing a self-titled EP and My Love Is Bold, followed by the compilation I'm Alive and on Fire. Born a Lion established the band's compact combination of hard rock, garage punk, blues, and power-pop hooks in 2002.
