The artist

Dead Fields of Woolwich began in North Bay, Ontario in 2020 as a project led by multi-instrumentalist Kye Bell, with vocalist Alyssa Broere becoming central to its sound. The music combines the slow weight of doom metal with gothic texture, melodic guitar lines and memorable choruses. After a sequence of singles, the group released its self-titled record in July 2023. A larger lineup formed around the project, and the 2025 album “Monarch of the Grave” expanded its mix of gloom, melody and heavy rock dynamics. The artist-controlled Bandcamp profile continues to identify the project with North Bay and Ontario. MusicList uses a rights-clean monogram instead of unlicensed photography.
