The artist

dvsn is the Toronto alternative R&B project of singer and songwriter Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85, also known as Paul Jefferies. The duo emerged in 2015 with a deliberately low-profile identity and a sound built from Daley's expressive singing, spacious production, gospel and soul harmony, and contemporary hip-hop rhythm. Its debut album Sept. 5th arrived in 2016, followed by Morning After, A Muse in Her Feelings, the Ty Dolla $ign collaboration Cheers to the Best Memories, and Working on My Karma. The catalog includes collaborations with artists such as Drake, Future, Snoh Aalegra, Summer Walker, Popcaan, Buju Banton, Ty Dolla $ign, and Jagged Edge. In 2025, dvsn signed with So So Def Recordings and HYBE America and released the two-song single ÷, containing Excited and Love On You. A 2026 anniversary run revisited Sept. 5th, including a hometown performance at Massey Hall in Toronto.
