Edgar Bori is a Montréal-based Quebec singer-songwriter, poet, actor, producer, and artistic director. His recording career began with Vire et valse la vie in 1995, followed by Edgar Bori in 1997 and Bori in 2000. Early performances turned anonymity into part of the work: the artist appeared behind screens, through a puppet, or with his face obscured before performing openly under his stage name. His catalog combines literary chanson with folk, pop, jazz, theatrical, and spoken-word approaches, extending through Changer d'air, Dans ce monde poutt poutt, Fous les canards, the Balade-Malade-Salade trilogy, Mautaditement Bori, Garneau/Bori, and the Poésinutiles projects. Bori has also created musical stories for younger audiences, including Le petit ours gris de la Mauricie and the 2025 album and book L'enfant du silence.
