The artist

Elio Alcindor is a Calgary-based Haitian-Canadian Christian singer-songwriter and community organizer. He began releasing music in 2013 and issued his Spanish-language debut album Úsame Señor in 2014. After moving to Canada, he continued building a multilingual gospel catalog with Glorifícate in 2018 and versions of songs in Spanish, French, Haitian Creole, and English. The 2020 single Hosanna received recognition in Christian and Latin music programs, while Vamos a celebrar, Poderoso, Haz lo que quieras, and Mi Vida Tuya Es extended his work through collaborations and international gospel audiences. Later projects include Praise the Lord with Jennifer Lewin, Alaba a Dios, Espíritu de Dios with Soledad Gram, and Yo Te Bendeciré. In May 2026 he released We Need You Now, confirming current recording activity. Alcindor is also a physician and ultrasound instructor and founded the Canadian Selah Music Awards, a platform for Canadian and international Christian artists and music professionals.
