The artist

ElyOtto is the recording project of Calgary-born singer, songwriter, and producer Elliott Platt. He began releasing self-produced music online in 2020, drawing on hyperpop, electronic pop, club music, and internet-native production. The short, high-energy single SugarCrash! spread widely through TikTok in early 2021, reached the United Kingdom's Official Singles Chart, and led to a remix with Kim Petras and Curtis Waters. ElyOtto signed with RCA Records during that period and followed the breakthrough with Profane, stalker, and the 2022 release HELLSCAPE SUBURBIA. He later returned to independent releases through Otto Dynamite Ltd., including MISCARRIAGE OF A WILDHORSE, Happy Together Convenience Store, PONY, PONYFUNK, and STR333TLAMPS. The collaborative single all falls down extended the catalog in June 2026. A September 2025 Postmedia interview documented Platt moving from Calgary to Montréal and speaking from Montréal, establishing his current Canadian city and province independently of the older hometown labels retained by streaming services.
