About

The artist

Evans Blue is a Canadian alternative rock band formed in Toronto, Ontario, in 2005. Originally founded by musician Kevin Matisyn alongside Parker Lauzon, Vlad Tanaskovic, Joe Pitter, and Darryl Brown, the band gained immediate national and international acclaim with their debut album, The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume (2006), featuring the breakthrough hit single Cold (But I'm Still Here). Their sophomore release, The Pursuit Begins When This Portrayal of Life Ends (2007), further solidified their presence on major North American rock charts. Following the addition of lead vocalist Dan Chandler in 2009, the group continued to release hard-hitting records including their self-titled album Evans Blue (2009), Graveyard of Empires (2012), and Letters from the Dead (2016), demonstrating lasting melodic power and enduring songwriting across the modern rock landscape.
