The artist
Raised in Calgary, Alberta and developed in Toronto's indie collective scene alongside Broken Social Scene, Leslie Feist is one of Canada's most celebrated and influential musical auteurs. Her solo career reached international acclaim with 2004's Let It Die and 2007's multi-Platinum phenomenon The Reminder, which yielded the Grammy-nominated smash 1234 and won five JUNO Awards in a single evening. Winner of 11 JUNO Awards and the 2012 Polaris Music Prize for her organic, textured masterpiece Metals, Feist has continually pushed modern art-pop and acoustic minimalism forward through works like Pleasure and 2023's Multitudes, captivating audiences worldwide with her singular phrasing, dynamic acoustic guitar work, and emotional intimacy.
