About
The artist
Finger Eleven is an Ontario alternative rock band formed in Burlington in 1990 and now based mostly in Toronto. The group first worked under the name Rainbow Butt Monkeys before adopting Finger Eleven in the 1990s. Its current lineup is vocalist Scott Anderson, guitarists James Black and Rick Jackett, bassist Sean Anderson, and drummer Steve Molella. Tip introduced the Finger Eleven name on record in 1998, followed by The Greyest of Blue Skies and the self-titled Finger Eleven. Them vs. You vs. Me expanded the band's audience through songs including Paralyzer and earned the 2008 JUNO Award for Rock Album of the Year. Later albums include Life Turns Electric and Five Crooked Lines. In 2025 the band released Last Night On Earth through Better Noise Music, its first studio album in a decade, and continued supporting it through touring and 2026 activity. The exact Spotify identity currently contains 17 distinct primary album and single containers from 1998 through November 2025, including eight album-classified releases and nine singles. Finger Eleven's writing joins dense guitar interplay with direct choruses and rhythm-focused arrangements, moving between alternative rock, post-grunge, hard rock, and alternative metal. Current label and independent interview sources identify the band as originally from Burlington and now based mostly in Toronto.
