About
The artist
Finnr's Cane is an Ontario atmospheric black metal project founded in Sudbury. Its members use the pseudonyms The Bard, The Peasant and The Slave, and the official band biography places them in Sudbury and Kingston. The group draws on the natural world and the tension between nature and humanity, replacing conventional bass guitar with cello and adding flute and ambient textures. Its catalog began with “Wanderlust” in 2010, followed by “A Portrait Painted by the Sun” and “Elegy.” After a long interval, Finnr's Cane returned with a self-titled fourth album in 2025 through Nordvis. MusicList uses a rights-clean monogram instead of unlicensed photography.
