The artist
Garret T. Willie is a Kwakwaka’wakw singer-songwriter and guitarist from the Campbell River area of British Columbia. His music pairs old-soul blues phrasing with hard-driving rock and roll, and his live shows centre his expressive voice and high-energy guitar work. His 2023 debut album Same Pain brought international radio play, chart placements and Western Canadian Music Award nominations. Willie followed it with the Nashville-recorded Bill’s Cafe in 2026, named for his grandfather’s pool-hall café in Alert Bay, and continued an active Canadian and international touring schedule.
