The artist

Gentiane MG is the professional name of Montréal pianist and composer Gentiane Michaud-Gagnon. Born in Jonquière, she began piano at five, trained in classical music at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec in Saguenay, and later completed a master's degree in jazz performance at McGill University. She formed her piano trio in 2014 and developed an interactive approach in which composition and improvisation are shaped through listening, shared instinct, and emotional clarity.
