Ginette Reno is a Quebec singer, songwriter, and actor based in Boucherville. Born Ginette Raynault in Montréal, she began performing professionally as a teenager after winning the Les Découvertes de Jean Simon talent competition. Her stage name reflects the French pronunciation of her family name. Reno developed a wide repertoire in French and English through cabaret, television, concerts, recordings, film, and theatre.
