About

The artist

Goldie Boutilier is a singer-songwriter from Reserve Mines, Nova Scotia, whose career has moved through major-label pop, electronic music, fashion, independent songwriting, and cinematic alt-country. Earlier releases appeared under the names My Name Is Kay, Kay, and Goldilox. After periods in Los Angeles and Paris, she returned to her family home in Reserve Mines and rebuilt the project around her own name, Cape Breton roots, and self-directed stories. The independent sequence Cowboy Gangster Politician, Emerald Year, and The Actress established a sound shaped by country songwriting, rock, pop, torch-song drama, and noir atmosphere. Her first full-length release under the current name, Goldie Boutilier Presents... Goldie Montana, arrived through Goldie M&E Enterprises with ONErpm in September 2025. The record uses the Goldie Montana character to explore confidence, survival, glamour, and control. In 2026, Boutilier launched the King of Possibilities tour from the Savoy Theatre in Glace Bay and continued writing a larger, more rock-oriented follow-up. Current official pages document an active international tour and the July 2026 single HOW TO BE A LOVER. The exact current-name Spotify identity contains 12 primary album and single containers from September 2022 through July 2026: one album and 11 provider-classified singles. Multi-track projects including Cowboy Gangster Politician, Emerald Year, and The Actress retain Spotify's single classification even though they are presented editorially as EPs elsewhere. This count excludes older releases attached to separate Kay and Goldilox identities and is not presented as a complete career discography. Boutilier received a 2026 JUNO nomination for Breakthrough Artist or Group of the Year and won three East Coast Music Awards: Album of the Year, Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and Rock/Alternative Release of the Year. A February 2026 interview documents her return to Reserve Mines, and the House of Commons identified her as being of Reserve Mines in June 2026.
