About
The artist
Haviah Mighty is a Toronto-based rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, and performer whose work combines technical lyricism with personal reflection and social critique. Born in Toronto and raised in Brampton, she developed as a solo artist alongside her earlier work with the collective The Sorority. Flower City arrived in 2017, followed by 13th Floor in 2019. That album made Mighty the first hip-hop artist and first Black woman to win the Polaris Music Prize. Stock Exchange continued her run of self-directed releases and won the 2022 JUNO Award for Rap Album/EP of the Year. Crying Crystals followed in 2023, expanding her mix of rap, melody, soul, dancehall, and afrobeats. Singles including Double The Fun, OK!, Lucky, and its 2025 remix material continued the catalog, while a November 2025 Polaris interview confirmed that she was developing another album. The exact Spotify identity contains 48 primary album and single containers from March 2017 through December 2025: four albums and 44 singles. That provider total includes collaborations, remixes, alternate versions, and several multi-track items classified as singles, so it is not a count of distinct songs. Apple Music resolves the same artist and catalog under artist ID 437858094. Mighty’s official current press kit says she is based in Toronto, while Apple identifies Brampton, Ontario as the place she is from; the profile therefore uses Toronto for her current professional base and treats Brampton as formative history rather than a conflicting residence claim. Her official contact page identifies Mighty Gang for management, Paquin Artists Agency for Canadian booking, and Warner Chappell for publishing and sync. Professional inquiries route through that page. Direct email addresses are not republished, and Spotify media is displayed remotely with provider attribution.
