The artist
Ivy Gardens is a Beamsville, Ontario trio formed in 2020 by Joe Zandwyk, Andrew Blackborow and Sebastian Hogg. The band sits between Hamilton's heavy scene and Niagara's alternative community, combining crushing volume with sludge, doom, grunge and textural experimentation. After a self-titled 2022 EP, Ivy Gardens released the full-length “Goon” in 2024 and toured Eastern Canada. The 2025 album “Death of Don Valley” brought a more deliberate concept and consistent tone, using heavy music to examine ecological destruction. MusicList uses a rights-clean monogram instead of unlicensed photography.
