About

The artist

Jules is the stage name of Montreal singer-songwriter Julien Charbonneau. His work draws from soul, R&B, French pop, jazz harmony, and the varied musical life of Montreal. He first reached a wider Quebec audience through La Voix 6 with Lara Fabian and Star Académie in 2022. Corneille then invited him to join Maison Kanda, a label created to develop Quebec soul and R&B. Jules began his exact Spotify catalog with De trop in July 2023. The song was named an iHeartRadio Future Star by the label's current biography. Dommages and Les mots qui nous manquent followed in early 2024 before the eight-track debut album Pour tout vous dire arrived in May. Written with close collaborators including Olivier Girard, Corneille, Sofia de Medeiros, and Lucas Liberatore, the album moves between open-hearted ballads, funk-inflected rhythm, and songs about family, love, identity, and the pressure to please others. Pour tout vous dire received a 2024 ADISQ nomination for R&B/Soul Album of the Year. Jules continued with Quand je tiens ta main and Déjà trop loin in 2025, then Karma with Naomi and Sors de là in 2026. His second album, Oublier hier, was released in May 2026. Its twelve songs trace the emotional path from a breakup toward recovery while broadening the production into alternative soul. Jules launched the record at Montreal's Cabaret Lion d'Or and discussed the new work in a May 2026 interview. His artist-controlled Linktree also lists a July 2026 Montreal performance. The exact Spotify identity contains nine primary album and single containers from July 2023 through May 2026: two albums and seven provider-classified singles. Apple Music independently matches Julien Charbonneau, the catalog, French-pop classification, and Montreal, Quebec location. Current professional relationships include Maison Kanda, STE-4, and collaborator Olivier Girard. Public inquiries route through Maison Kanda's official contact page. English and French copy and translation provenance were reviewed together, no private contact information is republished, and Spotify media is displayed live with provider attribution and a monogram fallback.
