The artist
KC Okoye is the Halifax artist and producer formerly known as Bad Friends. His current work spans electronic, house, UK garage, Afro-house and pop production, with recent Spotify releases including Loving and Ghetto (2025). He has built a strong Halifax presence through residencies and private events, and has performed at Canadian Music Week and Departure Festival. His earlier Bad Friends work earned nominations from Music Nova Scotia, the African Nova Scotian Music Association and the East Coast Music Awards; he is also signed to One Seven Music, distributed through Sony Music.
