The artist

Kittie is a metal band formed in London, Ontario in 1996 around sisters Morgan and Mercedes Lander. The band broke internationally with Spit in 2000, combining the rhythmic weight of nu metal with increasingly extreme guitar writing and a direct, confrontational vocal approach. Oracle, Until the End, Funeral for Yesterday, In the Black, and I've Failed You carried that sound through groove metal, alternative metal, and heavier forms of modern metal. Kittie stepped back from regular touring and new recordings after I've Failed You, then marked its history with a London reunion performance in 2017 and the Origins/Evolutions documentary and live album in 2018. Festival offers brought the group back to the stage in 2022 and 2023. The current lineup consists of vocalist and guitarist Morgan Lander, drummer Mercedes Lander, guitarist Tara McLeod, and bassist Ivy Vujic.
