About
The artist
La Famille LeBlanc is an Acadian family ensemble rooted in the Bathurst and North Tetagouche area of New Brunswick. The current family presentation brings together Robin and Rebecca LeBlanc with their daughters Charlotte, Rosalie, and Mélodie. Their instrumentation centres on fiddle, English concertina, whistle, piano, bodhran, foot percussion, step dance, and voices. The project took shape during a family visit to the Festival des Cultures du Monde in Gannat, France, in 2016, where the daughters sang Acadian songs and danced. In 2017 Charlotte took up fiddle, Rosalie the English concertina, and Mélodie the Irish whistle. The family represented Canada at festivals in South Korea in 2018 and France in 2019 before releasing its first group album, Trois jolies demoiselles, in August 2020. That recording received a 2022 East Coast Music Award nomination for Roots/Traditional Recording of the Year. Perdrais-je mon temps... followed in May 2023 and received another ECMA roots/traditional nomination in 2024, while the group also received the Alliance RADARTS/ROSEQ prize during the 2023-2024 season. Amourette arrived on May 15, 2026. The twelve-track album combines inherited Acadian material with pieces gathered or written inside the family, and its release credits distinguish the ensemble's performance from individual production work by Robin LeBlanc, Nicolas Basque, and Robin Breau. MusicList therefore does not classify the family ensemble itself as a producer or engineer. The exact Spotify identity contains five principal album and single containers from July 2020 through May 2026: three albums and two singles. In May 2026, the East Coast Music Association named La Famille LeBlanc Francophone Artist of the Year. The current artist-controlled Bandcamp profile identifies Bathurst, New Brunswick, while the Centre de la chanson acadienne places the family more precisely in North Tetagouche. MusicList uses the broader Bathurst-area label to preserve both current public records without implying a conflict. The official site connects the exact Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook identities and lists Agence Résonances for worldwide booking.
