La Patente are a francophone folk-rock group from Fredericton, New Brunswick, formed in 2020. Their current lineup brings together Marc Colecchio, Jean-Denis Migneault, Marc-André Godin and Mathieu Emond. The group blends punk rock, country folk and roots rock in songs grounded in regional language and stories. Their catalog includes L'Illusion d'la perfection, Le paradis des infidèles and the 2024 album Le cirque des mal-aimés. By 2026, La Patente reported nearly 200 performances across five countries.
