The artist

Le Diable à Cinq is a traditional Quebec folk band formed in Ripon, in the Outaouais region. The current lineup brings together André-Michel Dambremont on guitar, bass, and vocals; Éloi Gagnon-Sabourin on piano and vocals; Félix Sabourin on accordion, vocals, and foot percussion; Guillaume Beaulieu on violin, vocals, and foot percussion; and Samuel Sabourin on violin, tenor banjo, mandolin, and vocals. Three of the members are brothers, André-Michel is their cousin, and Beaulieu joined as the current violinist after Rémi Pagé. The group draws on tunes, songs, instruments, and stories transmitted through family gatherings while adding original writing, arranged ensemble playing, and a forceful rock-influenced stage approach. Sorti de l'enfer opened the album catalog in November 2017, followed by Debout! in 2019 and Tempête in 2023. Debout! received a 2021 JUNO nomination for Traditional Roots Album of the Year. The group also won the public vote in ADISQ's 2020 Vive la relève québécoise contest and received its associated TELUS grant. By 2025, Le Diable à Cinq had performed more than 300 concerts and toured to the Canada Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka plus major European folk festivals. Indomptable, its fourth studio album, arrived independently on May 15, 2026, followed by a Quebec and Eastern Canada summer tour.
