The artist

Les Dales Hawerchuk are a francophone rock quartet based in Montréal, Quebec, with roots in the Lac-Saint-Jean region. The current lineup brings together brothers Sébastien and Sylvain Séguin on vocals and guitars, Charles Perron on bass, and Pierre Fortin on drums. The group introduced its hockey-inspired name and forceful garage-rock sound with a self-titled album in 2005. Les Dales Hawerchuk 2 followed in 2008, Le tour du chapeau in 2011, and Désavantage numérique in 2016. Their songs pair thick guitar riffs and compact rock arrangements with colloquial French writing about love, cars, hockey, hunting, and daily life in Quebec. After an eight-year interval between albums, the quartet signed recording, live, and publishing agreements with Bravo Musique and returned with Attaque à cinq in November 2024. The thirteen-track album was produced by member Pierre Fortin, recorded at ToneBender and CroCo studios, mixed by Gautier Marinof, and mastered by Marc Thériault. Attaque à cinq received a 2025 ADISQ nomination for Rock Album of the Year. Earlier recognition includes a GAMIQ Rock Album of the Year award for Le tour du chapeau and ADISQ nominations across the group's catalog. Current activity extends beyond the album cycle: Bravo Musique lists a July 2026 performance in Albanel, following a broad run of Quebec shows in 2025 and early 2026.
