The artist
Luke French is a Nova Scotia rapper and producer now based in Halifax. After beginning in 2020 under an earlier moniker, he released the 1624 EP in 2021 and built a catalogue around conversational bars, classic boom-bap influences and richly textured production. His 2024 album Forever Hold Your Piece and the single Raw Talk led to further collaborations with C Stone-Léon and Ghostboyrj, including the 2025 project Tokyo, Sayonara!.
