The artist

Mama's Broke is a folk duo based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, made up of Amy Lou Keeler and Lisa Maria. The musicians met through a travelling folk community and formed the project in 2014 after a shared drive from Montréal to Halifax. Keeler sings and plays guitar, banjo, shruti box, and fiddlesticks. Maria sings and plays fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar, and cello.
