About

The artist

Marilyne Léonard is a singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist professionally based in Montréal, Quebec. Originally from Montréal's South Shore, she became known through La Voix in 2017 before joining Audiogram and releasing Bateaux in May 2021. Her music combines indie pop, francophone songwriting, rap-inflected phrasing, and electronic textures. The exact Spotify identity contains ten principal album and single containers available in Canada from May 2021 through May 2024: one album and nine singles according to the provider classifications. Vie d'ange, released in May 2022, is the eight-song centre of that catalogue. Testify, a bilingual collaboration with Mike Clay released in May 2024, moved toward house and UK garage while retaining Léonard's melodic writing. Her production work is directly documented rather than inferred. Audiogram identifies Léonard as a co-producer on Vie d'ange and credits her with guitar, keyboards, recording, and programming. SOCAN's 2022 profile independently describes the four later songs on the record as closely retaining the production she developed in her home demos before working with Marc Bell. Audiogram subsequently described her as producing her own songs. MusicList therefore includes Léonard in both the artist and producer and engineer directories, while distinguishing her own production credits from Testify, which Audiogram credits to Mike Clay. Current official activity includes a new band show touring from March 2026 and Quebec dates through September 2026. Audiogram named her a Radio-Canada Revelation for 2023 to 2024, and SOCAN reported her 2022 Bell Media Discovery Grant. Current professional relationships include Audiogram for publishing, label, album production, and live production; Editorial Avenue for publishing administration; Tanière for booking; and Esther Teman for management. Public inquiries are routed through the artist-controlled website, which lists current role-specific contacts. MusicList does not reproduce direct contact details. Spotify media is displayed only through the provider-attributed live route with a monogram fallback.
