About
The artist
Marjo is a Quebec rock singer-songwriter professionally represented from Montréal, Quebec. Born Marjolène Morin, she joined Corbeau in 1979 as a singer, songwriter, and composer before beginning a solo career after leaving the group in 1984. The Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame credits Marjo and Corbeau with helping define a new period of Quebec rock by combining rock with blues and folk elements. Her solo debut Celle qui va arrived in 1986 and produced songs including Chats sauvages, Impoésie, and Doux. Tant qu'il y aura des enfants followed in 1990, Bohémienne in 1995, Turquoise in 2005, and the two Marjo et ses hommes volumes in 2009 and 2010. The exact Spotify identity 3IYryWetzBVax8oJPkgXMk contains nine principal album containers available in Canada from November 1986 through December 2023. The newest is Marjo, a seventeen-song remastered collection issued by Ambiances Ambiguës and promoted through the artist-controlled website in vinyl, CD, and digital formats. Spotify's principal-release view classifies all nine containers as albums. The 2023 compilation is not presented as an album of new compositions. MusicList excludes an Apple Music profile from the public platform links because that otherwise matching catalogue currently contains two unrelated 2026 singles under the shared name Marjo. The official website and exact Spotify and YouTube identities provide the collision-free public routes. Marjo remains professionally active. Productions C.R. lists the J'lâche pas show and Quebec dates through November 2026, while the artist-controlled site routes live representation through the same Montréal agency. The Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame describes continuous concert activity across Quebec and documents more than one million albums sold, about sixty written or co-written songs, and fourteen Félix awards. Current honours include the 2024 Artisan de la Fête nationale award and the Festival d'été de Québec's Miroir de la Renommée. Marjo's songwriting relationships include longtime collaborator Jean Millaire, and the current catalogue retains Ambiances Ambiguës and Duprince connections. MusicList does not infer a record-production or engineering role from songwriting, company ownership, or album rights lines. Public performance inquiries are routed through the current Productions C.R. contact page, and direct email, telephone, and postal details are not reproduced. Spotify media is displayed only through the provider-attributed live route with a monogram fallback.
