About

The artist

Mathieu Bourret is a neoclassical pianist, composer, improviser, cultural mediator, and record producer professionally based in Blainville, Quebec. He completed a bachelor's degree in classical piano performance at the Université de Montréal in 2010 and built experience as an accompanist, arranger, choral director, and ensemble musician. As a founding member and pianist of Oktopus for more than a decade, he recorded Lever l'encre, winner of the 2014 Syli d'Or, and Hapax, nominated for Instrumental Album of the Year at the 2018 JUNO Awards. His solo instrumental work developed through four seasonal mini-albums beginning in 2020 and the 2021 compilation Le Climatologue. Illumination followed in 2022 and Illumination II in 2024, extending his organic and cinematic approach into a holiday concert project. The artist-controlled Bandcamp edition of Pamplemousse directly credits Origine Consultation-Création and Mathieu Bourret as producers, supporting his record-production classification without inferring engineering, mixing, or mastering roles. The exact Spotify identity 3YCCFatKoi1gKPulMVJdAC contains nineteen principal album and single containers available in Canada: three albums and sixteen singles under Spotify's current classifications. They span the five-track Léonides container in November 2020 through Refuge in May 2026. Spotify classifies several multi-track mini-albums as singles, so this provider-visible count is not presented as a complete career discography by conventional release type. The matching Apple Music identity 1066359173 independently connects the classical catalog to the same artist. Current activity is documented by the 2026 Refuge release, a City of Montréal presentation of Le Climatologue in April 2026, ongoing professional representation, and the current Agence BAM biography, which also documents his original score for the short film Le Corridor planned for 2026. Culture Laurentides recognizes Bourret as a current regional member and records his 2022 Artist of the Year award in the age thirty-five and under category. Professional inquiries route through the official artist team page and the current Agence BAM information-request page. MusicList does not reproduce the direct names, email addresses, telephone numbers, or business addresses shown there. Spotify media is displayed only through the provider-attributed live route with a monogram fallback.
