About
The artist
Menoncle Jason (Jason LeBlanc) is a singular Acadian outlaw country songwriter and guitarist from Memramcook, New Brunswick. Signed to Moncton's Le Grenier Musique, Jason couples a rumbling, Johnny Cash-esque bass-baritone voice with lightning acoustic flatpicking and mordant Acadian Chiac lyrics. His albums Dans son prime and La grosse piastre have won multiple Music NB and East Coast Music Awards, earning him a dedicated cult following across Canada and France for his honest, humorous depictions of rural Maritime working life.
