About

The artist

Mother Mother is a Vancouver alternative rock band formed in British Columbia in 2005. Apple Music traces the project to Quadra Island and describes its emergence in Vancouver, while a current Warner Records release identifies Vancouver as the band's hometown. The current five-piece consists of Ryan Guldemond on lead vocals and guitar, Molly Guldemond on vocals and keyboards, Jasmin Parkin on vocals and keyboards, Ali Siadat on drums, and Mike Young on bass. Three-part vocal harmonies, abrupt dynamic changes, tightly shaped hooks, and darkly playful lyrics give the group a sound that moves among alternative rock, indie rock, art rock, synth-pop, dance rock, and post-glam. Touch Up arrived in 2007, followed by O My Heart in 2008 and Eureka in 2011. Songs including Oh Ana, Hayloft, Burning Pile, Body, Arms Tonite, and Wrecking Ball later reached a new international audience through short-form video culture. The band continued through The Sticks, Very Good Bad Thing, No Culture, Dance and Cry, Inside, and Grief Chapter. Warner Records released Nostalgia in June 2025 as Mother Mother's tenth studio album and a twentieth-anniversary project. The November 2025 Spotify Singles set paired a new recording of Oh Ana with a cover of HOT TO GO! and was recorded at Vancouver's Armoury Studios. The exact Spotify identity 0e86yPdC41PGRkLp2Q1Bph currently exposes fifty-four primary album and single containers in the Canadian market. Spotify classifies eighteen as albums and thirty-six as singles. This provider snapshot includes studio albums, deluxe and expanded versions, a live album, demos, remix packages, alternate-speed versions, live sessions, and multi-track singles, so it is not presented as a count of distinct studio albums. The catalog runs from Touch Up in May 2007 through Spotify Singles in November 2025. Mother Mother received Group of the Year nominations at the JUNO Awards in 2015, 2022, 2025, and 2026, while Grief Chapter received a 2025 Rock Album of the Year nomination. SOCAN recognized Ryan Guldemond with a Number 1 Song Award after EXPLODE!, performed by Mother Mother, reached the top of the Mediabase Alternative chart in July 2024. Current Apple Music and Live Nation listings show Canadian performances in 2026, including Quebec City, Edmonton, Montréal, and Toronto. The official site, Warner Records, Warner Music Canada, Spotify, Apple Music, SOCAN, the JUNO Awards, Live Nation, MusicBrainz, and Wikidata converge on the same active Vancouver band without an identity or location conflict. Press inquiries route through the official Warner Records press page without reproducing direct contact details. Spotify media is displayed live with provider attribution and a monogram fallback.
