The artist

Mourn Recif is a Victoria, British Columbia screamo group formed on Vancouver Island in late 2023. The project began when vocalist and guitarist Dave Norman started a local band, then grew into a four-piece with Branden, Jason, and Ron; Josh later replaced Branden on guitar after a hand and arm injury. The band's first self-titled EP arrived through Zegema Beach Records in June 2025, followed by a split with A Recorded Dawn in September 2025. Label materials describe the group as Vancouver Island pinball skramz, while its releases combine melody, anger, triple vocals, and sharper emo-violence and post-hardcore sections.
