The artist
Obad-Hai is a Halifax metal group working across progressive doom, sludge and groove metal. The artist-controlled Bandcamp page describes a three-piece project from Halifax and credits the band with producing and recording its self-titled 2024 debut, while Taber Crosby handled mixing and mastering. That album develops a dense, story-driven sound through tracks including “Earth and Sky,” “Miasma” and “The Masamune.” Apple Music independently identifies Halifax as the act’s home and documents the catalog from the 2023 single “Necromancy” through the 2025 single “The Sentient.” Current band and event directories continue to list the group as active in Nova Scotia.
