About
The artist
ONI is a progressive-metal and metalcore project formed in Windsor, Ontario, in 2014 by vocalist Jake Oni. Its early lineup stood out for pairing dense guitars and extreme-metal intensity with xylosynth, while later releases developed through a flexible cast of collaborators. Albums including “Ironshore,” “Loathing Light” and “The Silver Line” connect technical metal, djent and melodic metalcore, with guests drawn from the wider heavy-music community. The official site and DSP catalog document active 2026 releases including “Haunted” and “Losing My Religion,” while the artist-controlled Bandcamp continues to identify Ontario. MusicList uses a rights-clean monogram instead of unlicensed photography.
